The Allama Iqbal Open University (with its main campus in Islamabad) was established in 1974 under an Act of parliament. It was the second open university of the world and the first of its kind in Asia and Africa when it was established. Now more than 60 such universities are providing distance education and it is among the 4 top mega universities of the world. The aim of establishing AIOU was to provide affordable and accessible education through distance learning at the door-steps to those people, who could not continue their studies through formal system of education. The University (AIOU) operates on semester system and admits students in Autumn and Spring semesters. Under-graduate admissions are offered in both the semesters whereas post-graduates courses are offered once a year. The enrolled students are given course books, audio video cassettes specially prepared by the university on self instructional principles. However, at the post-graduate level reprints of foreign books allied with study guides help students to polish their skills. The University offers Semester Based Matric Programme in order to keep the student in touch with Education throughout the semester through Assignments and Classes at Study Center. The Student has to pass all four/two assignments and later to appear in Exam.

Punjab Pharmacy Council NTS Test Result 2017

Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) is an autonomous body set up by the Government of the Punjab to assess and examine students’ learning achievements particularly of grade 5 and 8. PEC started functioning in 2005 and in 2006 conducted 5th grade population examination for the first time in the Province. Now PEC is a statutory body working under Punjab Examination Commission Act XI of 2010.

PEC develops tests and further gets them printed for the districts of Punjab. The districts administer and score the tests. PEC then prepares results for each district, about 2 to 5 million students, both from public and private sector schools appear in the examination every year.

Moreover, we prepare reports which serve teachers, teacher educators and researchers for improving students’ learning. The data collected from 36 districts of the province provides feedback to the system, policy making, educational managers and teachers for improving students’ learning.

The commission consists of 18 members out of which 3 MPAs, 2 educationists and two persons from private schools are nominated by the Government.

On 3rd February 1978, the Bahawalpur Board started functioning in Bahawalpur in a hired building and at the middle of 1978, on the completion of staff, the first examination of Supplementary 1978 was held.

In early 1979, the office of Bahawalpur Board was shifted to a building of Daulat Khana afterwards; the Revenue Board allotted about 23 Acre plot of land (wherein the present campus exists) to Bahawalpur Board. The Board, according to its financial means built the boundary wall and a limited office building, and the Board was shifted to this campus in 1985.
With the increasing number of candidates and requirements, it was decided to build a new building for the Board in 1989. The construction of the new building was started in September 1991 and it was completed in 18 months with the cost of about 2.5 corer rupees. The office of Board was shifted to the newly constructed building in March 1993 and the old Building was specified for Sports Hostel Warehouse and Secrecy Offices. Now it has been decided that this old building will be specified for Examination center.

The College took a modest start with the Center for Computer Science, established in the Center for Solid State Physics, Quaid-e-Azam (New) Campus, Lahore, in 1988. The first degree program offered by the Center was a one-year Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in Computer Science. 24 students were registered in this program during the first year. The Center was upgraded to Department of Computer Science in 1991. The Department started 2-year (4-semesters) PGD leading to MSc in Computer Science under the annual system. In its first batch, the 15 students were admitted to this program. The number doubled the following year.

Paper Pattern and Type of Questions for MPhil (RS & GIS):
1. There will be 60 MCQs that have to be solved in 90 minutes.
2. 60% of the test will be from the following areas of RS & GIS: Introduction to GIS, Remote Sensing & Digital Image Processing, Spatial Analysis, Databases, GIS Programming (Object Oriented).
3. The Remaining 40% of the test will comprise of quantitative/analytical questions (analytical reasoning; pattern recognition; ratios, percentages, proportions; basic probability and counting).Passing marks are 50%.
Grading Policy: You will receive 4 mark for a correct answer, 0 mark for a wrong answer, and 1 mark for an unanswered question.
